Developer community programs, operated at global scale.

Champion and builder programs, regional user groups, meetup networks, contributor programs, and events for cloud and infrastructure platforms with global developer ecosystems. We design the operating model, launch it in 90 days, and run it with measurable outcomes.

Program types

Each is a product in its own right, with a playbook, an operating cadence, and a measurement plan. Most large programs combine three or more.

01

Champion and builder programs

Tiered recognition programs for your most capable practitioners: nomination, selection, onboarding, benefits, enablement, and an annual cycle that keeps the bar high and the program credible.

Designed for hundreds to thousands of members across regions.

02

Regional user groups

A network of local groups with trained volunteer leaders, a shared playbook, funding rules, and a cadence of quarterly meetups, each reporting into a global program view.

Multi-region, multi-language, with regional leads accountable for health.

03

Meetup networks

Formats, speaker pipelines, sponsorship guidelines, and event operations for consistent, brand-safe meetups that local leaders can run without a central team in the room.

Playbook-driven so that quality holds at scale.

04

Content contributor programs

Community-authored tutorials, talks, and samples with a review workflow, technical accuracy checks, licensing, and recognition, so contributions become durable assets.

Review SLAs and editorial standards written into the program.

05

Virtual and in-person events

Regional summits, community tracks at flagship conferences, virtual series across time zones, and hackathons, with production, moderation, and post-event follow-through.

Hybrid by default. Every event has an activation goal as well as a headcount target.

How a program stays credible after launch

These six components are written into every program we operate. They are what a procurement team, a legal team, and a member will each ask about.

  1. 01

    Program governance

A charter, a RACI between your team and ours, decision rights, budget controls, and an escalation path. Reviewed quarterly, changed deliberately.

  2. 02

    Nomination and selection criteria

Transparent, published criteria for entry and progression: technical contribution, community impact, and conduct. Panel-based selection with conflict-of-interest rules.

  3. 03

    Tiering and recognition

Tiers that mean something (contributor, champion, lead), benefits scaled to commitment, and recognition that is public, timely, and consistent across regions.

  4. 04

    Content review workflows

Technical accuracy review, brand and legal checks, licensing, and attribution, with SLAs so contributors are not left waiting.

  5. 05

    Code of conduct and moderation

A code of conduct members sign, a trained moderation team, incident response runbooks, and reporting that respects privacy and due process.

  6. 06

    Regional leader enablement

Onboarding, playbooks, funding and swag logistics, speaker support, monthly leader syncs, and a leader community of their own.

Four metric families, defined before launch

Programs that report only health look like hobbies. Programs that claim only pipeline look like fiction. We report all four, with definitions finance can audit.

Weekly
Operations standup, moderation review, contributor queue

Built to pass procurement, legal, and brand review

Large organizations have requirements. We treat them as design inputs rather than obstacles.

Multi-region, multi-time-zone coverage

Regional leads and follow-the-sun operations so moderation, events, and support are not waiting on one office's morning.

Vendor onboarding readiness

Standard MSA and SOW structures, insurance, security questionnaires, and data handling documentation ready for procurement review. TODO: link to vendor pack.

Brand-safety and trademark guidelines

Program guidelines that respect your brand and trademark rules: logo usage, naming, event branding, and merchandise approvals, enforced through the review workflow.

Accessibility

Events, content, and platforms held to WCAG 2.1 AA: captions, accessible venues, alt text, and inclusive formats as program requirements, not afterthoughts.

Data privacy

Member data handled under a documented policy: consent, minimization, regional requirements, retention, and deletion, with the community platform configured to match.

Localization and language

Program materials localized for priority regions, with local leaders reviewing for cultural fit beyond translation.

A sample 90-day launch

Design in the first month, launch in the second, operate and report in the third. Adjusted to your organization's approval cycles.
